Faith Baptist Church, located in the vibrant college town of Starkville, Mississippi, is prayerfully seeking a dedicated and Spirit-led pastor to lead our congregation into a new season of growth and renewal. Our church has a rich history of faith and service, but like many small churches, we have experienced a decline in attendance in recent years. Our current congregation consists primarily of older members, with a small number of young aduts and families. Despite our size, we remain a close-knit and faithful body of believers who are committed to God's Word and mission of the church. Our beliefs are in concert with the Southern Baptist Convention's FAITH and MESSGAE adopted June 14, 2000.
We are seeking a pastor who possesses the following qualifications:
- A degree in Theology, Biblical Stucdies, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Ordained or licensed as a pastor under the Southern Baptist Convention Standards.
- Proven experience in pastoral mnistry, spiritual leadership, and community engagement.
- Visionary in gorwing the church body, both spiritually and numerically.
- Able to connect with people of all ages, with a heart for intergenerational ministry.
- Proficient in organizational and administrative tasks.
Our church facility includes a spaciuos sanctuary able to accomodate 250-300 people, offering significant opportunity for outreach and expansion. We believe that with the right leadership and God's guidance, our church can once again become a thriving center of worship and ministry in Starkville.
