Worship Pastor

We are seeking a qualified individual to serve as our Worship Pastor, playing a vital role in leading Trinity in our worship gatherings and outreach. As the Worship Pastor, you will be responsible for helping to lead the Sunday morning worship gathering, cultivating a heart for missions, and engaging our community in impactful outreach efforts. Music is the most visible aspect of this role, while the heart is of a pastor shepherding the entire congregation. As such, this position has a seat at the table for not only areas under direct oversight, but also in shepherding, leading, teaching, and praying for the whole congregation. The title of pastor is used intentionally, since the primary qualifications are 1 Tim 3 and Titus 1. 

The following outlines many of the responsibilities and qualities of an ideal candidate. 

Responsibilities:

1. Worship Leadership:

• Be a disciple of Jesus who makes disciples of Jesus
• In conjunction with other pastors, plan and lead engaging, biblical worship services
• Coordinate with musicians, vocalists, and technical teams
• Lead weekly rehearsals that promote both musical talent and devotion to Jesus
• Raise up future leaders that the Lord provides to lead both behind the scenes and from the platform. 
• Ensure that God is the audience of our worship, not the congregation
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee a comprehensive budget

2. Missional Leadership:

• Be a disciple of Jesus who makes disciples of Jesus
• In conjunction with the other pastors, develop and implement strategies to promote a missional mindset within the congregation.
• Identify and support local outreach and global mission opportunities.
• Equip and inspire members to actively participate in outreach and missions
• Oversee various outreach-focused groups within Trinity (e.g. block party, embrace grace, etc.)
• Oversee greeting team and connect table
• Raise up future leaders to lead outreach efforts, mission teams, etc. 

3. Media and Technology:

• Be a disciple of Jesus who makes disciples of Jesus
• Oversee the technology needs of the church
• Manage and coordinate all technology aspects for worship services, including sound, lighting, visuals, and live-streaming.
• Coordinate a plan for updating audio/visual in the auditoriumIf able, maintain and update as needed the church's online presence through the website and social media platforms.

4. Shepherding:

• Be a disciple of Jesus who makes disciples of Jesus
• Shepherd alongside other pastors
• Offer pastoral care and support to individuals and families as needed.
• If gifted to teach, preach on occasion in the Sunday morning worship gatherings

Qualifications:

•  Meets the qualifications of pastor in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1
• Bachelor's degree in theology, ministry, related field (preferred)
• A self-starter, shows initiative when pursuing new opportunities
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Skilled at setting boundaries and building meaningful relationships
• Proficiency in playing musical instruments and vocal leadership
• Proven experience in growing and developing worship teams
• Skilled with audio/visual equipment
• Passion for and experience in outreach and mission work
