Cadron Ridge Baptist Church in Conway, AR is seeking a Part-Time Music Minister to lead our church's music ministry. This individual will plan worship services, lead congregational singing, and support the spiritual life of the church through singing.
Qualification:
The individual will provide evidence of education, qualifications, and experience necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the position, including the ability to read music.
The individual must have a personal testimony of a genuine conversion experience and demonstrate an ongoing commitment to a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
The individual has a testimony of a call by God to serve in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Select appropriate and timely music selections and plan an order of service, along with the pastor, for worship services. Coordinate and schedule this with the accompanist and persons preparing the bulleting and the audio/visual technician in advance of the service in a timely manner. Find substitutes when needed.
- Direct congregational singing at all regularly scheduled worship services.
- Enlist individuals or groups for special music presentations during worship services.
- Coordinate the music program with the organizational calendar and emphases of the church.
- Assist in the selection and provision of appropriate music for weddings, funeral, special services, and other church-related activities as appropriate and when requested.
- Initiate/monitor the purchase, maintenance and replacement of all music-related equipment, supplies, and instruments, in coordination with the appropriate committee.
- Prepare an annual music budget for approval and administer I, once approved.
- Provide other assistance to the church as requested by the pastor.
- Be an active member of the church, participating in Sunday School classes and other ministries.
- Oversee and maintain the organization of the sound room.
- Report to the pastor.
