SUMMARY

• Lead the congregation in vibrant, gospel-centered, doctrinally-sound, spirit-led

  worship.

• Influence the church to grow as worshipers of Jesus Christ.

• Recruit and lead teams of volunteers to coordinate the production of various

  services.

• Produce creative, distraction free, God glorifying services.

• Commit to growth in personal discipleship.

• Disciple others to grow in their relationship with Christ.

• Possess the needed musical and production skills to execute high-impact gatherings.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Be called by God to serve in a local church.

• Meet the character qualifications of a pastor listed in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1.

• Possess deep spiritual and moral convictions.

• Have training and experience in worship ministry. An advanced degree in music

  is preferred.

• Agree with the doctrinal beliefs of the Baptist Faith & Message 2000.

• Possess the ability to lead, organize and supervise ministry teams.

• Minister with genuine and compelling stage presence.

• Be vocally strong in order to lead in worship.

• Be a skilled musical artist with proven ability. Competent to lead choir, orchestra,

  band and praise team.

• Be flexible and able to adapt to change in music and technology.

• Be organized with a high standard for excellence.

• Be proficient in church software such as Planning Center, ProPresenter,

  Multitracks, Ableton or other similar software including recording software.

• Be a team player. Works well with Ministry Leadership Team.

• Contribute to the overall vision, goals and ministries of the church.

• Have a basic familiarity with digital sound system.

• Have understanding of music licensing issues.

• Be a self-starter. Be self-motivated.

• Work well within the ministerial and church culture.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide leadership and oversight of all music ministries.

• Lead and produce worship services.

• Work with the other pastors to facilitate all services.

• Oversee all aspects of the audio-visual-lighting ministries, such as live-stream

  and recording.

• Oversee recruitment, development, and discipleship of all music ministry

  participants.

• Schedule ministry teams for all services in a timely manner.

• Communicate expectations and details for all music ministry teams.

• Manage a yearly music ministry calendar, and budget.

• Develop goals for raising up the next generations of church music leaders.

• Pursue continuing education and growth in music ministry.

• Actively participate in pastoral ministries, such as hospital visitation, discipleship,

  office hours, appointments, and special events.

• Perform other duties assigned.
